Alison Wonderland's real name is Alexandra Margo Sholler. She is an Australian performer, singer DJ, producer of dance music as well as DJ. After 2009, Tolman moved from Chicago, Illinois, to take classes in the art of performing in The Second City Training Center. Tolman made her debut on Fargo, a black-comedy crime-drama on FX. Fargo, a 1996 Coen Brothers movie, featured Billy Bob Thornton (as Molly Solverson), Martin Freeman (as Bob Odenkirk) and Bob Odenkirk. Tolman received praise for her performance in the role of Minnesota policeman Molly Solverson, with Vanity Fair saying her that she "calmly and assuredly took over the whole film". Tolman won the Critics' Choice Television Award for her performance in the category Best Supporting Actress, Films/Miniseries. Also, her nominations in the category of Best Actress were received at the Emmy Awards as well as the Golden Globes. The same year, it was announced that Tolman will have a guest appearance on The Mindy project on the show as Abby Berman who is a romance writer. In 2015, Tolman was a supporting character in Michael Dougherty's comedy-horror film Krampus. Following her breakout role in Fargo, Tolman declined several supporting parts as mothers or wives as well as best friends seeking a more unusual role. In 2017, Tolman starred in ABC's Downward Dog, based on the Animal Media Group web series, It was canceled following one season. Tolman was a part of the ABC drama Emergence.
